Servoy Named Cool Vendor in PaaS 2012 by Gartner, Inc.
Vendors selected for the “Cool Vendor” report are innovative, impactful and intriguing.
Amersfoort, The Netherlands, May 2, 2012 — Servoy, the leading provider of Business Application Platform technology and solutions, announced today its inclusion in the select list of the 'Cool Vendors in Platform as a Service, 2012' report by Gartner, Inc.
According to the Gartner report, Servoy is of particular interest to Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) who are under pressure to deliver their solution(s) on-premises, hosted and as a service (SaaS) while supporting a growing variety of mobile devices, but do not have the staff to maintain multiple code bases and to build up knowledge in multiple, increasingly complex technology platforms.
"We are delighted to be recognized by the Analyst Community for the growing excitement caused by our comprehensive Business Application Platform and the many unique ways in which we continue to drive value for our customers and their customers and users. We consider our inclusion in the Cool Vendor report by Gartner as a confirmation of our mission and reinvigorated focus to fuel our ISV ambitions." says Jan Aleman, CEO of Servoy. "I'm very proud and grateful to our very talented staff, our customer ecosystem and the Servoy Community for bringing the company to where it stands today. With the upcoming launch of our integrated Business Application Platform we will deliver a truly revolutionary product that will change the face of the ISV industry and our customers' market positions."
Over the last decade, Servoy has evolved from being a product-centric application platform technology-vendor to being a customer-centric champion of the ISV cause, with a very direct focus on business outcomes. Our unique ISV Assurance Program assists ISVs in successfully executing their product strategies and application development projects. We learned from having been involved in over 500 rewrites; these programs enable ISVs to bring their products to market much faster and mitigate the risks otherwise associated with development projects. It further allows ISVs to focus on their domain specific expertise, enables them to deliver a better total product experience, extend their market potential, and increase profitability.
For the further advancement of the Servoy Business Application Platform and the further extension of the competitive advantage of Servoy's ISV customers, our product roadmap focuses on the integration of App Stores, Self-service Provisioning, Billing, UX and UI patterns, capabilities for native mobile application development (in addition to browser-based), and built-in collaboration and social capabilities.
