Technical Overview
The Servoy Business Application Platform (BAP) has been built specifically for ISVs for which time-to-market, low maintenance and cross deployment is crucial. The platform allows for extremely fast development, and a single code-base that can be deployed to any device, browser or operating system and on any database. This gives ISVs the freedom and flexibility to sell to enterprises with a wide range of systems and demands.
The foundation of the entire platform consists of the Servoy Application Server, Client technology and APIs. The SDK includes all tools for Application Lifecycle management, from design to programming to testing to debugging to publishing.
Within the Business Application Platform there are three layers: The Application Frameworks & Components Layer, the Application Layer and the Customization layer. The Application Frameworks & Components Layer offers a lot of core functions that an ISV needs to rapidly build applications. In the application layer your applications are built and the customization layer allows for customizing applications both at design time and at runtime. Even in a Cloud-based deployment the customization layer remains available enabling ISVs to deliver customized applications in multi-tenant environments.
Servoy's Integration layer allows for seamless bi-directional integration. Both publication of services and consuming is made effortless.
