Servoy has opened a new office in France, and appointed Fabrice Roger-Dalbert to accommodate and expand Servoy's presence. Servoy 5.1 Launch Event - Feb. 9
Servoy 5.1 is about to be released. For an overview of the upcoming release, you are invited to join hosts Jan Aleman, Servoy CEO, and Paul Bakker, Senior Project Manager, who will demonstrate the key changes in Servoy 5.1 in an hour-packed Launch Event being held on February 9th.

Servoy Special Webinar: Servoy and Batch Processors - Feb. 11
Batch processors are great for automating repetitive tasks like emailing todo lists, producing periodic reports, invoicing, etc.

With Servoy, batch processors are easy to set up by following these steps:
  1. Create a solution with a startup method that creates the timers (cronjobs).
  2. Activate the solution on the Servoy server.
  3. Sit back and watch your methods being triggered by your timers.
In this one-hour Special Servoy Webinar, hosted by Jason Meunier, Servoy Senior Tech Engineer, you will learn:
  • How to run a Servoy batch processor on the Servoy Server.
  • How to use the scheduler plugin to create cronjobs.
  • How to trigger methods with cronjobs.
  • How to build a GUI (graphic user interface) for users to maintain and monitor their cronjobs/methods.

Servoy CEO Jan Aleman Keynotes at Largest Library Conference
The program for OCLC's first Regional Council Meeting in Europe, Middle East and Africa has been announced.

The opening Keynote session, entitled "Cloud Computing, what is it and what are its impacts for libraries", will be presented by Jan Aleman, CEO of Servoy, and a distinguished global thought leader on Cloud Computing. As secretary of EuroCloud, Mr. Aleman has been a distinctive technology visionary at the forefront of the cloud revolution in computing. Jan Aleman is also a published author and commentator, as well as a guest and keynote speaker at many conferences worldwide. The two-day OCLC meeting opens on February 24th in Leiden, The Netherlands.
